AssaQuotePrivacy policy

AssaQuote is run by Amir Anees in Australia (ABN 71 374 034 233) ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information AssaQuote holds, why, and how it is protected. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Who this covers
- Shops and their staff who use AssaQuote.
- Shops' customers, whose details a shop enters when it quotes or invoices a job. For this information, the shop decides what is collected and why; we store it for the shop.
What we hold
- Login details: staff names, email addresses and passwords (stored encrypted, never readable by us).
- Shop details: business name, ABN, address, phone, email, bank details for invoices, labour and paint rates.
- Job details a shop enters: customer names and contact details, vehicle details and rego, insurance and claim details, damage photos, quotes, invoices and payment status.
- Remembered part prices and other settings your shop saves.
We don't use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. AssaQuote stores your sign-in session in your browser so you stay logged in.
How we use it
- To run AssaQuote for your shop: saving jobs, producing quotes and invoices, and keeping your logins working.
- To contact you about your account, billing, support or important changes.
We never sell personal information, and we don't use customers' details for marketing. We don't look at a shop's jobs unless the shop asks us to help with something, or we need to fix a problem.
Where it's stored and who can see it
- Data is stored with Supabase (database, logins and photo storage) in Australia. Each shop can only see its own data.
- The website is delivered by Cloudflare, and the page font is loaded from Google Fonts. These services see technical details such as your IP address, but not your jobs.
- We only share information if the law requires it.
Keeping it safe
All connections are encrypted. Shops are kept separate by database security rules, issued invoices are locked, and logins are limited per shop. No system is perfectly secure, so please use strong passwords and keep them private. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will tell the affected shops and, where required, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
How long we keep it
We keep a shop's data while its account is active, so it has its job and invoice history (the ATO generally expects business records to be kept for 5 years). When a shop cancels, we delete its data within 90 days, unless it asks us to keep it longer.
Access and correction
Shops can view, correct and download their data from inside AssaQuote at any time. If you are a shop's customer and want to see or correct your details, please contact that shop first. You can also contact us and we will help.
Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, contact us and we will reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will email shops about important changes.
